As holiday season is upon us - do you feel there are any categories of employees that are more in need of vacations than others and would you handle it on a case by case basis? For example if hospital staff needs off I'd imagine you make sure that happens. If an overworked Admin needs a break, you make sure there's coverage and that it's not too long. If someone who doesn't have a heavy workload wants two weeks at Thanksgiving...maybe not so much?

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

Hi all. Got an offer from Alvarez Marsal PEPI (Senior Associate) and Associate 2 at Kearney. Base is identical, A&M has this unbelievable bonus % so TC is probably higher at A&M. But I'm looking WLB, longer term opportunities, exit opps. What are your thoughts ?

If our mental health is not good at the moment, how do we convey it to the team? Most of the folks in my team take such things lightly and I feel weird to let them know about it. So I just have to lie and put a sick leave.
Also, even before friday ends, I start to stress about monday… and I think that is wrong. We should look forward to work and not stress about it but sadly the people around me here make me want to leave the office.

I am currently working at a T2 strategy firm in London and my partner and I want to relocate in ~1.5 years. My firm does not have an office in Dubai whilst my partners firm does. At any level above Senior, how do u manage the relationship between utilization and realization, which is an inverse relationship. Seems to be either blow the budget (and write it off), or eat a lot of time.

I work part time for a startup for equity and am attending an event on behalf of the startup. I’ve only been here a few months and asked multiple times to have a prep meeting with my boss.
