Hey everyone. I am a 2020 B.tech IT grad from VIT vellore. I have worked at DXC Technology for 15 months and quit in October. I gave 2 interview rounds at amex for Business analyst role and today got a call from the recruiter that she received mail from Amex that I’m selected and there would be a salary discussion probably this week. My question is, if she said that is it certain that I’ll be offered this role and if yes then is there a chance that my gap months can hamper my chances in hr round.American Express

OP - what’s PM here? product manager or program manager or technical program manager?
Also I’d suggest to not worry about negotiations till you have aced your interviews.

Unless your TC is in the ballpark of FAANG compensation, I’d stay away from discussing comp at this stage. I’ve steered those conversations to share my interest in the opportunity and the message that I expect to be paid fairly and inline with my experience, education and other things that i bring to the table. This has worked with every FAANG I’ve interviewed with.
There is no advantage of giving a number at this point.
I’m being asked by a recruiter after passing the assessments to give my Desired TC for Sr.PM at Amazon I pushed back by saying I would like to better understand the role, what is the company range. I got I can’t share that but need to know your desired comp before moving forward with the first interview call. Any advise here
