Rising Star
I fear retirement is an impossibility seeing as the stock market has become a game for the billionaires to pump and dump en mass
It’s difficult to say right now because the future economic picture is so uncertain
Retirement doesn't seem like something that's in my future.
I'm 35. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to retire. I've been taking care of my parents for the past several years because they didn't have the money to retire, either. So all of my retirement savings are going towards their cost-of-living. I imagine a lot of people are going to be in my same boat and we are going to be working well into our 80s.
62! Which is within the year and I am so ready. I’ve done a good job at saving and have a healthy 401k and pension. My advice to any young person is to start as young as you can and increase by 1% each year until your at the max, then stay there. When you max out at pre-tax amount, use the catch up contribution option.
"Ready" or not, I am punching out at 67. I might be able to at 65, but we will see.
The plan is 52. But this will be when I have kids in college so it's still TBD.
60 I'm ready I've invested and saved since my 20s. I don't want to see myself as one of those old people on the train riding to work asleep 70 years old not enjoying anything about life except for getting my next paycheck.
I'm 21, so it's early, but I think I'll get to retire when Earth's core freezes.
