Is it a 1BR you’re sharing that you’re able to get away with just 350?

Hm you must’ve gotten a really good deal on the house to be able to pull that off. Nice work!
Honestly if you own the place I’d keep at it for as long as you’re comfortable. Don’t worry about benchmarking to other people on when to upgrade your lifestyle
I did it when I was making $95k base. I think it’s time for you to upgrade your lifestyle
$350 a month? How is it even possible? Where is this?

I’m at 132k and still sharing but with just one person in a 2b/2b. Planning to get my own place once this lease runs out in a few months.
I started out sharing with five other people in a big house and upgraded to one other person when I hit six figures.
But this is all very dependent on the cost of living in your city.
In DC as an Analyst I rent a 1 BR at $2200/month. You only live once 🤷🏻♂️
Hey thanks so much for that response A1 - I have 0 student loans + low expenses otherwise and contribute ~10% to my 401K. I’m not inclined to save more than that right now at 24 and I prefer the luxury of living alone. Thanks for the judgment though 🥂
I do not understand how your rent is possible.
But tbh I think living alone is overrated and lonely. A big beautiful apartment all to myself was just more rooms to cry in 🥲
I too live alone and it gets very quiet and lonely but then I also remember that past housemates haven't been very clean and I don't know what's worst... Thoughts?

Why would you subject yourself to living like you do?
Investments are good, but don’t forget to also live according to your income. In my mind there isn’t much of a point if you are building wealth that you aren’t really enjoying. Try to find a balance, but in general don’t live like “poor” in order to eventually become “rich”
Paying almost 3k with utilities for my share of a 2 bed at 136k. HCOL city
Used to live in Philly in a high rise near Rittenhouse. Paid around 2k for my share in a 2bd 5 years ago. Worth it for all the stuff I could do in the area. Could walk to bars and restaurants easily. Hardly took Ubers
