I’m an MBB Manager. Studied abroad at a non-target school (BA and MA) and made my way up. I’m very proud of that, but also wondering if it’s worth taking 1-2 years off to pursue and MBA at an Ivy League. I don’t see myself in consulting long term + It’ll probably be fully paid for by me.

Not sure if this is a good career move because I am moving as an EA there, but the pay is good and i will also get to learn about change management, which I don't have much experience in. Feeling a bit trapped in my current role. Studied Finance, 3 years out of school and work in implementation services for commodity trading technology.

The experience has been great with lots of trust/responsibility and exposure to the client. However, I can’t shake the feeling I am learning a product rather than transferable skills and knowledge.

I’m wondering if anyone has any advice or ideas on different career paths, my current trajectory feels too niche. Skilled in Excel/SQL/Csharp.

Did any of you transition from a non-core coding role like Risk consulting/operational audit to a core/partially more coding role like Business Intelligence/Data Science etc.,? Does it entail that during the transition all the previous experience will not be considered or of value anymore? I want to make a switch from Risk consulting role (4-5 YOE) to a more Data focused role ( 1-2 YOE) but the transition seems scary (Do have a MS DA ! Can someone with more exp. in the field share thoughts?TIA

I have now officially been in the industry for 2 years, and I already feel like my learning curve is stagnating at my current job as I went from Junior Developer to Developer this summer.
I started having more responsibility, and have been assigned a junior Developer (previously an intern) that I have to spend time learning our tech/workflow.

Leaving my current role next week for a better opportunity. Leaving on good terms. My bosses have been very aggressive telling clients about me leaving and haven’t given me the chance to tell them myself. I’m a little put off by it. Plus, they’ve told a current client to keep calling me if they want work done. We already have clients that abuse texting and calling me. Strongly considering getting a new phone number too.
