How many hours a week do you ACTUALLY work?
TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

Those who tuned into KPMG town hall, thoughts?
Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Paid less than US, you can google AFR big4 consulting pay.
Yeah that’s one thing I can’t understand. The cost of living in Sydney and Melbourne is the equivalent or sometimes higher to any major city in the US but the salaries are further behind 😕
Did consulting in the US, but worked with consultants as part of corporate strategy teams in AUS. It seems like PTO is more respected in AUS, but overall WLB is about the same. Consultants in AUS do the overtime that corporate employees can’t.
I’ve also found the quality of the consulting analysis much weaker here. I think there’s much more standardized problem-solving and group think, which leads to less creative and tailored solutions. I’ve also noticed a tendency for consulting firms to look at the US for inspiration for something that worked and making a case to bring it to AUS as is, rather than tailoring it to the Australian customer and company’s capabilities. It’s basically a case for expensive failure IMO.
This is an interesting take. Great that PTO is more respected but if the hours overall are similar, seems like Aus consultants are under paid which sucks.
Great insight on not tailoring the solution to the Australian customer.
Worked in both countries in both consulting and non-consulting roles. Can confirm work-life is more balanced in Aus in general; the difference is definitely noticeable vs the USA
