Australia’s health department stated borders will most likely not open to international travelers at all this year and would most likely still require 2 weeks quarantine when they do next year. This was my one vacation I had planned right when covid hit and I was really hoping they’d open with vaccines so I could go in October, even March next year but even that seems an unlikely time to have a normal trip 🥺 i just really miss international travel

Urgent: Booked a skiing trip to Okemo, VT with friends for next weekend. FRIENDSHIP problems. Me and my best friend’s relationship drifted far apart during Covid where we don’t talk anymore. Nothing happened, just lack of effort. We used to be inseparable sisters. Supposed to take REG a week from today in CA and my exam was just canceled from COVID cases spiking. NTS expires 12/31, FAR expires beginning of Jan, REG is the last exam i need to pass all 4. Haven't seen any updates on CBA pushing back exam expiration dates for CA, I feel so lost and have no idea what to do and am so scared of losing FAR. Anyone in a similar situation in California and have advice? Who did you contact/what steps are you taking?

Not enough people are understanding the clotting dangers with COVID.

Can we start naming firms that are expecting associates to go back to the office five days a week with no wfh flexibility? And which firms are allowing associates to wfh with more flexibility post-pandemic? I hoped there would be a change to the general biglaw face time requirement but seems like some firms are going right back to 2019 standards.

How are folks feeling about in-person staff meetings these days? I'm vaccinated, but still trepidatious about large indoor gatherings. I recall the CDC report noting that most school COVID transmission was adult-to-adult, exacerbating my reservations. My primary concern is colleagues, who will not vaccinate, potentially harboring the virus. It's unclear whether the vaccine would prevent me from asymptomatically contracting the virus & spreading it to my as yet unvaccinated children. Thoughts?

This isn’t per se a work authorization question but its an emergency: my parents (indian citizens with canadian tourist visa)want to travel to canada to take part in a memorial service for a close relative. They are considering traveling to canada through mexico because of Covid regulations. Since mexico accepts indians with a valid us visa, my question is this: They have a valid US tourist visa but they have not travelled to the usa ever before. Will this be a problem?
