Work on building new connections on the client side. I’m client side working down a rung or two from when I aged out of agency life (sr. Writer now) but making more $$ than I ever did as an actual CD. And to your bigger point, my nights and weekends are all mine. I’ve got enough time/energy that I’m working on a Masters in a different field so I can exit for good. You can get there! Start by cultivating more connections client side.

Woke up thinking about this amazing comment, CD2. I have not considered Sr. copy roles, but you are right. WTF not!!! Thank you.
Unfortunately, at certain levels and companies, once you raise concerns, you are gaslit and marked as a problem. I hear you and this frustration and the difficult position you're in. Can you last a bit longer given how competitive it is for jobs right now? Reach out to contacts in other industries to discuss careers? Sounds like you're overdue for a change. Lay the groundwork, and hopefully, you can be out in a few months.
Thank you for your understanding. I find it difficult to accept the current system, as I believe it’s abusive to overload people with more work than they can realistically complete in the available hours. At this stage in my life, time has become as important to me as money. While I’m grateful to have a job and always strive to deliver high-quality work, I cannot help but feel that it’s unreasonable to expect significant amounts of work to be accomplished within such limited timeframes.

What are you stressed about? Trying to get it all done/do a good job? You feel phased out...what does that mean? Not getting the good projects anymore? FWIW savor that paycheck and your sense of community and purpose from the job. Three elements I miss as a hard working job searcher. Maybe you can try to add in 20 minutes of walking or cardio to help mellow your mind?

Well good for you for raising your hand. I think it might be therapeutic for you to also spend 15 minutes a day looking at ECDs work, and when you find someone doing the stuff you admire, reach out and let them know you are "ready for a new challenge." I think job searching can be helpful, bc it makes you feel like there may be something better around the corner.
