Be thankful that you still have parents and that your relationship with them is so good that their lack of tech savvy seems like a "problem." And hope that 30-40 years from now, your own children will be patient when you have a hard time learning modern technology of that era.
Very true
I would give any amount of tech support to have parents that care about me enough to call. My only advice is to be more patient and grateful
AARP has a lot of things like this in their member benefits. Also includes how not to get d scammed online too.

Make a how-to video each time you do their tech support. Then, hopefully, they'll be able to walk through it on their own the next time.
Yes, I'm not sure what to do other than exercise patience. I can't be mad at them. This is a whole new generation
It’s frustrating. Part of what’s worked for me is to stop enabling. I’ve encouraged my folks to try to Google answers first. Part of this is I want them to remain sharp and resourceful—and the other part is to reduce my annoyance. But my parents have actually appreciated this because it puts them in the driver’s seat and they really only call when stuck now.
Lol my parents learned the power of whatsapp, now they spam me to no end everyday with forwards of quotes and videos.
Someday we will be looked at as old and cling to dated technology. Appreciate your parents, if they are as old as mine, remember once upon a time they had to surf the web on dialup with 28k modems
WhatsApp is my parent's favorite app as well lol so many forwarded messages from the motherland
If you’re close to my age, you grew up in the time of VCR and your kids will grow up in the time of VR. Setting your frustration aside, look at it from their point of view. They’re probably not like the average mobile device user who can’t put their phone down for more than two hours. They’re living the better life in my eyes.
What you're doing about it shouldn't be a problem. You have to keep teaching patiently several times
Yeah. But they will never get it so I don’t even bother. As well as my friends. It s good to be in a community or have other friends that understand or you will be lonely
