Anyone working in FiDi live in South San Francisco, Daly City or even further south (Burlingame, San Mateo, etc)? Would you recommend it?

Thinking about things like: commute time (office, airport), cheaper rent, more boring areas, cleaner/safer, etc.

Hello and happy Thanksgiving! What are the pros and cons of living in San Diego vs San Francisco? I’m from NY and looking to move to one of those locations. I’m hoping to get more info on rent, dating, entertainment, taxes, and job stability.

Should I just quit the legal field?

I have been a paralegal or legal assistant since 2010. I have worked for small and large firms and a TPA. I've worked in L&E, PI, and ID. Billing hours gave me nightmares. Right now I'm in a hybrid paralegal/LA position where I'm responsible for all of the docketing and supporting the managing partner and 1 associate and their 90+ ID caseload. I make a lot of mistakes everywhere I work. I feel so incompetent. Should I just abandon this career path?

Any input on job offerings I’ve received. Morgan Stanley CRU risk officer pay is $70k with a less than 10% bonus. And KeyBank position is a private client advisor pay is $67k but bonus can range from $10k -$25k depending on performance and other compensation factors. Currently a Investment Consiltant at WFA making $62k with a $7k bonus. Both are in office positions in SLC, UT. TIA

My title is a Project Engineer which, in my field, is a couple steps below a Project Manager. I have been drafting for almost 10 years, I have a PM certification, and I have 2 years of experience. I tend to pick up on anything construction fairly quickly but I am unsure what to ask for a salary in my coming review. At KPMG, was going to go up for M last year but it would have been a tad early (only 2.5 years at senior) so I decided to push it back to this year. This year, after talking about my business case since last summer, I was now just told I won’t even be given the opportunity to go up for M at all, with very weak reasoning. I pour a lot of time and effort into my job and this felt like a true sand banging. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it firm being cheap w/ the current economy? TIA.
