Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?
Do you regret accepting an early promotion?
ZS Associates
I have a couple of questions for ZS fishes-
1. Is it possible to turn down a promotion at ZS? I'm currently happy with my responsibilities as a Decision Analytics Consultant and don't want any added responsibilities in the near future (next 5 years)
2. Is it possible to shape up a career path in the BC stream which doesn't involve business development? I don't want to get into working on SOWs and RFPs.

Hi #Urgent
Got the Offer Letter from Citi upon accepting I also received the Background Verification (BGV) mail.
which says I need to provide the relieving letter/experience letter. But the thing is I have not received it (it will take some time). I only have resignation acceptance letter.
Can we still proceed for bgv process and tell Citi that I will provide the relieving letter later on when i get it.
(already passed my LWD: 2nd nov)

It sounds like the job is more defense than offense. It’s hard to be proactive and plan when questions and issues are streaming in at you constantly….i have found chronic interruption to be super draining and kind of infuriating after awhile. I make lists at the beginning of every day and then just ignore people until later if something isn’t urgent or I tell them I can speak later but not now. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.
Not an odd reaction at all! I am a solo GC as well and had the same reaction to my review (but no raise). It's a TOUGH role, especially feeling like a bottleneck for all of the org's demands and not having the time to build lasting processes. I am the only team in the org that does not have at least 2-3 employees, but leadership has no intention to give me headcount for the foreseeable future...
Time block. Dedicate time to strategic processes as that’s the feedback you got and what will make the biggest difference in you feeling overwhelmed. Communicate that over the next few weeks you’re going to move to a dedicated office hours model. You determine how often those will be and how big a window of time you allocate for that but communicate it company wide and don’t violate it in the first 3 weeks. Any one off questions not during that window don’t get answered until that window. Meet with the CEO and CFO about the strategic vision they have and map out risks and opportunities. Also, clearly communicate what you spend your time doing, tell them what you plan to prioritize, and ask them if they have any feedback otherwise you will prioritize on the basis laid out. That should get you considerably down the path to implementing the feedback and not being consumed.
