I am admitted to the full-time MBA program at Cornell, Goizueta, and Gtech Scheller.

I am planning to build a successful company. Any thoughts on which B school will be suitable to raise funds and make valuable connections?

Cornell is a significantly better option than the other two, unless you have very compelling reasons to stay in Atlanta for the next two years

Congrats on the admit and enjoy the experience

I’m only familiar with Cornell. I’ve worked with several Cornell alums, quite connected so I would assume it’s a place where you could mamma meaningful and valuable connections

On the flip side, I would challenge the notion of going to B school to start a successful company. Anyone is totally capable of building a great company with good mentorship, self-study, and a good team.

I had my second job interview for a group fitness instructor at a retirement home. We talked about pay and they quoted lower than what the job was posted at. I froze and didn’t say anything. I haven’t taught group fitness before but have a degree in the field and had a specific certification at one point. Also I’ve worked for this company before in a different department and am familiar with the population. I have a final interview this week.

I heard that if you have multiple school offers you can essentially pit the schools against each other ("such and such school offered me 25% off, but I greatly enjoy the fit of your program. Can you beat their offer?")

Semi-related: I got WL at Cornell Johnson. Hoping to re-apply and to more schools so that if I get in I dont pay full sticker price.

Hi Fishes,

My colleague's younger sister is looking for a job as a fresher. She has recently graduated (B.com) and is pursuing US CMA. She's also done a couple of internships and is highly proactive and motivated. The family has been struggling to meet the ends specially due to Covid Pandemic.

Tried applying via Naukri and LinkedIn but there's hardly any response.
Can someone please refer her in their organization for a relevant role for a B.Com graduate. DM me for more details.

TIA

How do you think your company is faring the new market conditions, and do you think the measures taken have been fair? So far at KPMG no layoffs, but no bonus or merit increases. Promotion increases are still happening, but hard to tell if promotions are going to be that common. Overall I believe the firm has done a good job of communication of measures taken both economically and logistically (not returning to office till at least 2021).

I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money
