Being ghosted by employers after interviews has become incredibly common. What’s your personal rule for when you stop expecting a response? I usually give it a month of inactivty, whether it's from application, or from any of the levels of the interviews.

From a financial standpoint in this market, which would be a better approach in Austin -

1. Buy a ~8-850k house that meets most of our ideal criteria (size, schools, interiors etc) to stay long term

2. Buy a ~5-550k house that’s not ideal with the plan of moving into an ideal home in 4-5 years when kid is ready for school.

I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension. Advice on managing up / enduring toxic deal teams? I’m at the point where my stomach drops any time I see something come in from certain people.
