Got word from the recruiter that an offer is imminent, but they’re looking at pushing my start date a few months out since the bench is so full currently. I understand these things take time, but my current job is so mind-numbing I honestly don’t know if I can last a few more months and keep putting on the happy facade to leadership. I guess I’ll take all my PTO in the meantime, but any other tips for surviving this period? Or any ideas on advocating for a sooner start date?

Hi everyone - so I joined a new firm about 6 months ago from audit to financial due diligence. Since joining I’ve only been staffed on about 5 deals of which 2 died. Also, after a deal wraps up I’m usually on the bench for about 1.5 weeks before I get picked up again. Is this normal? I just don’t want to get to 1 year and feel like I still don’t know much. TIA
