Has the blush come off the rose for this shining city on a hill? Have any other foreign fish in the US been asking yourself why we made the conscious decision to seek out a life in this country? The racial tensions and frequent shootings (including a much covered grocery store that I used to frequent) are outweighing the benefits of staying here. Never have I had to worry this much about going to the grocery store. The reaction of society here towards these issues is also dismal. Is it worth it?

I'm struggling with drafting/creating policies. Is that something that's taught through a certification or I missed in school? How does one get good/comfortable with writing policies or is there a tip I'm overlooking? (e.g. I need to formalize our Maternity leave policy and create a paternal leave alongside)

I’m a freelancer with an LLC but sometimes companies hire me as a regular freelancer and allow me to contribute to their 401k plan. This year, for example, I have already maxed out my 2022 contribution. Should I, on top of that, create a individual 401k (aka solo 401k) and try to max it out as well?

I used to claim 2k every month for WIFI in TCS for 4 months under straight through employee referral and it by passed my supervisors approval too but a mail used to go to supervisor.
He questioned me a lot after 4 months as if he is paying 2k from his own pocket and I stopped.
Worst policy here. 410 wifi reimbursement we get in TCS lol that gets added into our salary every month.
A normal phone recharge costs more than that and TCS still stuck in its cheap mentality of cost saving.

Hi There - I'm considering a role in consulting. The role is London based and as some of you may know the commute into London by train is significantly expensive (especially compared to my pre-covid commute by car). So that I can properly consider any offers I may get - can you claim expenses generally when travelling to client site, if that client site is also in London (albeit a different part of London to where your home office).

So I know the HSA account t has to be used in conjunction with the HDHP, but what happens to the acct if I switch to the LDHP during the next enrollment period?

If a firm offered to match 50% of the RSU you elect to receive by foregoing part of your annual bonus, would you go for it? Obviously for this you have to wait for the RSU to vest so you would need to stay long enough to see this through (2 years).

Assume this is a good company with a decent perform stock.
