I’m starting at MBB shortly as an associate, laterally from Big 4. Husband & I are trying to decide if we want to buy a house and settle in the city we’re moving to - I am potentially interested in making partner (if possible) but also open if a good exit opportunity comes my way. Exit opps would certainly be in a different location. Anyone have thoughts on ideal length to stay at MBB?

Got an offer from BCN as Associate. Wondering if there are any openings or if anyone here can refer me to other openings in MBB. Looking for options.

Hi ME fishes, I need an advice. I am doing internal consulting in the U.S. and received an offer from MBB Dubai. How is WLB and Culture? Does it suck traveling every week to Saudi? internal consulting WLB isn’t great but I am sure MBB in Dubai is much worse. Should I join? I am Arab and married by the way.

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

Is there really that big of difference in recruiting between USC and UCLA MBA? I checked MBB target schools and only one recruits at USC whereas all 3 recruit from UCLA. I would have thought it would have been about the same. Thoughts from MBB/B4/Tier 2 consulting?

I currently have about 4 years of experience at Chevron (2 years in R&D, 2 years as a chemicals product manager). I am looking to transition into consulting as I have realized that I am someone who gets bored of a project once it turns into a well-oiled machine. I have an offer of 6.5 LPA fixed with Accenture (Level 11). Total CTC in Accenture is 7.8 LPA which includes variable pay. I have an offer of 8 LPA fixed with another company. I have accepted the offer of Accenture so now if I ask Accenture to increase my fixed amount to 7 LPA from 6.5 LPA, will my request get fulfilled and is this fair to ask? My joining date is 20-21 days from today. Please suggest

Can we expect 80% hike after 6 months in the current organization. I'm not actually planning to move out because of of hike, but because of the project which I got in which I'm not comfortable with. I'm interested to stay in the organization. But my supervisor said I have to stay in this project for atleast 5 years and HR asked to stay for atleast 2 years which I feel would loose my career.
