Does anyone feel so dumb at work? I have been trying so hard but i still feel I don’t know a lot of things. I am so afraid of asking questions that are too easy for them. I have worked in tax for over 2 years. Not sure when I will be qualified for senior. Am I not suitable for this role or industry? I was one of the top students in my classes and I graduated from a very good school. I always feel hard to understand the trainings and technical stuff when they discuss as a non native speaker.

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

What’s your take on counteroffers? I recently was offered a role at a growing company (Recent IPO) with what looks like a bright future. The downside is it’s a lat move doing sim work with small increase to base but additional bonus and RSUs that won’t vest for 3 years. Main reason I was leaving current role was due to boredom and wanting a change. Have any of you moved countries for a better personal life? I'm Indian (living in India) and in my mid 20s. Evaluating a job offer close to home which I'm moderately excited about. The other option is to continue in my current role (which I hate) and try to move overseas (via another job or Masters). Taking the new job pushes this back by at least a few years. I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously.
