Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.
Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Is this really a thing? Why is there an optics issue? Isn’t it easier (and better for one’s integrity) to be transparent and show you’re getting the job done in a lean way? (Assuming you are)
This happens a lot when consultants are around when they are doing cost saving projects too
Not a technical solution, but have a single dial in participant who is merged in from a conference line.
This is exactly the solution, B1! Thank you. To be clear, is it possible to double screen share (aka share on the main zoom to clients and also share you screen from the browser to the shadow zoom)?

Hmmm I’m not sure about that one, we’ve never tried it.
Ghosting into zoom? Sneak in?

Two zoom invites, whoever is in the main meeting joins that from the computer and the ghost on their phone and is on audio. Not perfect with slides, but good enough
Dial ghost on your phone and leave beside your laptop speaker. If needed you can take pics of slides and send to them separately

These are the instructions I use with my team when we need a shadow call on user research interviews (Zoom). Sorry for the screenshot, I don’t feel like opening my laptop again tonight.
EDIT: looks like fb made the screenshot potato quality. Will copy the text of the instructions momentarily.

Bridging from MAIN interview call to SHADOW interview call
(aka joining two zooms at once)
Set up
When sharing into the SHADOW call, you will need to be in a quiet place and not wearing headphones. You will be piping your computer audio into the SHADOW call, as well as any noises in your vicinity/environment.
Step-by-step:
1. Join the MAIN call as normal.
2. Copy the Zoom URL for the SHADOW call into Chrome.
3. When prompted, do not open the call in the Zoom desktop app or leave the MAIN call
4. Click "Join from your browser" at the bottom of the screen
5. Select "Join Audio by Computer”
6. Turn up your computer volume (take off headphones)
7. Unmute yourself in the SHADOW call
8. In the SHADOW call, select share screen - choose your zoom window to share video from the MAIN call to the SHADOW call
REMEMBER: any noise you make or happening in your background will be audible to listeners on the shadow call! Now's not the time to catch up on phone calls ;)
