I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

I would say a number and then shout “GO!” at the person you’re negotiating with.
$120,000...GO!
Go is a no go around here. It’s not a race it’s a chat app.
Highly recommend the D.E.N.N.I.S. system.
same. but hey I learned something new 😆
Try peeling an orange in silence in front of them to make them negotiate with themselves.
We aren't 17 year olds. GO!! Isn't needed to start a dialog. The same applies to making statements with passive aggressive endings seeking confirmation such as "Negotiating salary is hard, right???"
Given the dumbing down of titles lately, I’m pretty sure “CD” OP is 17
Be the best candidate they find and negotiate up to what you want.
Saying “GO” also happens to be the best way to secure an offer. Be sure to shout that when the time comes 👍
Best way to negotiate a salary offer is to ask for what you want and be prepared to walk away if you don't get something you can live with.
Use glassdoor to find salaries of other people with your title in the area. If your offer is below the area average, use that data to negotiate. Also good to find cost of living data. If you have another offer, leverage that. Nicely but firmly tell them you believe you deserve more and be ready to back that statement up with reasons why - what skills and experience do you have that make you valuable + worth more? If they won't budge on salary, negotiate on benefits or see if they can give you a sign-on bonus / increase your relocation $$.
Also can you guys stop complaining about people saying "GO" ?? Yeah, it's kind of annoying but I think OP gets it by now. We're all trying to help each other out here.
