Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

How does PwCs reputation in the consulting market place compare to the other top firms (big 4, MBB, Boutiques, etc.)

Planning to do a PRM or FRM qual. How useful is it to move from Big 4 Risk and reg consulting to industry? Finding it hard to get anything other than non-PM roles

Does FDD get easier the more deals you do? I’m on my first actual deal (first one was a partial due diligence and barely did anything) and sometimes I’m so clueless when management is explaining a schedule or a piece of support while my manager understands quickly and needs to explain it to me (I’m a staff 1).. thank you

Are people at other firms doing value creation bits along side FDD work? Or so any work identifying value creation opportunities? It just amazes me sometimes that we’re not involved in any value creation work alongside DD, when we are in the detail of the business and having regular conversations with C executives

salary range for KPMG Deals accounting advisory senior associate in NYC?

Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. Is it better to jump firms/has anyone done this?

I think KPMG has a pretty good training and onboarding process for new FDD hires (Lakehouse bootcamp, reading and training materials for review, and the shadow program). How’s onboarding and training looking like for PwC / EY / Deloitte?

Anyone else here have terrible utilization because their deals die and a code never opens? /can’t find another code to book hours? I’m sitting on over 200 billable hours at this point
