Big4 tech consulting -> FAANG sales strategy -> tier2(S&, Atk, Lek, etc./MBB.
1 year at Big4, 1 year at tech company, non-target UG. Likelihood of actually accomplishing this? Thank you☺️

I don’t understand
Are you asking if you can use FAANG sales to pivot from big 4 to tier 2?
Seems counter productive, and or, adding a step

like

Ty!

Are you going back to consulting bc it’s what you want to do or bc sales strategy is boring?

Going from big4 tech to MBB after 2 years seems nearly impossible, especially from a non target. So I’m asking that if I’m currently at faang doing sale strategy, and have experience at big 4 consulting, do I have a good chance of breaking into MBB? I totally butchered the post, hope this make sense lol

I was thinking about this too. For me, I was wondering if going 3 years at a strategy boutique to industry Corp strategy will leave the door open for me to potentially join as a post mba at mbb if I leave Corp strat as a manager.

Essentially, would like to skip mba because I have a biz UG and since I think I developed some consulting basics.

Do you think this is a plausible path or is that still a tough path to go and I shouldn’t bank on that

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

So, I've tried a few different positions and still hate practicing law BUT I was approached about a contract role that won't have billable hour requirements and I won't be steeped (I think) into the law firm's toxicity, so I'm wondering if it could be the closest thing to a 9 to 5 for law. Pay is hourly which seems weird, but I would have time to devote to hobbies and life generally. Has anyone been tempted by or accepted these contract opportunities, and what's your hot take?

I am worried that I am being benchmarked on a wrong job title.

Sales Manager vs International Manager or should it be something else?

My employer is based in China, while I am in France. I remotely manage a global sales team, with team members from around the globe. They all work remotely as well.

Being remote, and managing an international remote team, I would like to know what should be my job title? Any idea or professionals that I may contact, please?

Thank you.

How many of you were direct admits to Partnership? From other consulting firms, or from industry? Was it a lateral move, or a step up/down?

The reason I ask is: I’m a Y3 Director at Big 4, always been a consultant and probably 2 years away from Partner. I have an offer from industry for VP at a F50 company, but am wondering about how difficult it’d be to boomerang back if it doesn’t work out.

Suggestions needed. Got offer from other Big4s with same money offer. Got to talk to very great partners, and practices/work-life balance are very similar across all 3 firms. Currently more toward DT but only cuz I know more people there so I feel less nervous going there. When it comes to turning down offers, what other professional reasons can I provide?

Hey there! First post here 😊

I've done a lot of self-work this year re: where I've been most successful and fulfilled over my last ten years.. I'm 32 and have been in sales, sales leadership, and business leadership (I've been a ceo and am currently head of sales at a start up).

All that said, I'm looking for some words of wisdom on how to pivot to sales ops, Rev ops, or GTM strategy. The latter probably being my preference.

References, wisdom, and general advice appreciated!!
