Biggest advice anyone give for MBB is to get a referral. Usually this would be someone from your network that you know. But what if you don’t anyone. Going cold Turkey on LinkedIn doesn’t work even if you have shared connections; doesn’t translate to meetings etc. I know something about my approach to networking is not correct. I understand that networking is more about relationship building and fostering a mutual long term relation. And was wondering if anyone had any advice. (Rising senior)

My director gave me a 45 day termination warning. I had a random 1:1 with my director last Friday. She essentially told me I have 45 days to increase my activity (I’m a recruiter that gets measured on daily metrics.) After the 45 days if I don’t meet these requirements I will be terminated. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.
