Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

Pay is lower than market average. Unlimited PTO is awesome. I can’t speak for other teams, but my team is awesome.
Super helpful! Thank you so much for sharing!
Hey there!
In my experience there everything you listed were pretty great. WLB being the best, at least for me. 99% of days I close my laptop by 5, and some days earlier than that. I think I've only had 3-5 days working later than 5? And I take full advantage of unlimited PTO. I think I already took 25 days this year off
Client will always vary, so that's hard to comment on but I've only heard a couple nightmare clients, not too many. It more so boils down to if account and your bosses are 'yes men' or not.
For salary, ask more than what you are wanting by 10-20%, then let them negotiate down, if they do. I know some people that asked for way more than average and got it no questions asked, and some that asked for way less when starting and are now being under paid
Culture is pretty good. Everyone is very friendly and nice, haven't really seen or heard instances of any bad eggs or issues, yet. This also heavily depends on your location since I'm not hearing other office scenarios
Should I do the same if an offer letter comes?
Culture is solid and the unlimited PTO is bomb.
Thank you so much! So glad to hear the unlimited PTO isn’t a trap 😂
I have heard really good things about them. I had a friend who worked there and she said the culture and wlb are great. She also said the benefits are good.
Highly recommend it. I’ve been here almost 10 years. Only con right now in my mind is my pay but my tenure is hurting that…
