Dear fishes, I am really being torched and mentally harassed by HCL. First they fired my saying my BGV is red in Jan 22 after working 10 days. Then they didn't generate FNF until july 22 even after multiple follow ups. Then they asked me to pay 1,80,000 for notice period of 90 days and sent legal notices . Now after again multiple follows up with leadership they removed the amount of notice period but now asking to pay the GST of 25k for the same notice period amount which is 0 in FNF. Plz help

I was laid off back in August and I have been trying to get a product/UX/UI job ever since then. With the recession and all of the crazy things that are happening right now it has been even harder.

Is anyone hiring a mid-level Product/UX/UI designer?
I have 3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer and I am available to start working immediately! (Remote work is preferred since I live in Phoenix, AZ and there are not a lot of tech jobs here)

Will slalom do layoffs or do they have ample reserves to weather the storm?

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.

What was the last recession like? Who are the first to get laid off? How can we try and make sure it isn’t us?

How is the biz in tokyo since covid? Big layoffs like in the USA? All remote? Picking back up? Thank you.

I’m being let go. It came as a surprise because my time with the company I’ve gotten positive feedback. A couple of weeks ago my boss told me that I was being put on a 30 day performance review plan. The last 2 weeks I’ve gotten positive feedback about improvement but on Thursday my boss decided to cut the review plan short and give me an end date. Since I’ve been there <1 year I’m getting 2 weeks severance. Is there room for severance negotiation? A friend in HR (not ad) told me I should ask.

I have interviewed with Harman for the position of HR Recruiter and have an HR Discussion today. They've mentioned that they'll be providing me 20-30% Hike on my current CTC whereas I am looking forward for atleast 50% fixed hike.

How shall I negotiate?
And will they provide me my minimum expectations if I Negotiate?

Anyone else feel like they’re crawling up the walls lately? I was fine with WFH/quarantine for the most part until the week after thanksgiving and since then I feel like my mental health has gone from good to bad and I’be never had mental health issues before. My lead in Wipro is absolutely horrible and disgusting. Doesn't have any manners, language, is always rude to us when asked with a doubt. He is himself very incapable of either leading the team or providing a solution to a problem. Calls people at odd hours and doesn't care about ethics or solutions.

Why is US creating so much tension around Russia-Ukraine issue?

I live in Europe, and we hear more about US saying that Russia can attack any moment, closing embassy etc than other European nations who actually have a lot more to lose.

I think more House Rs than actually stated want Trump to be impeached - not because they think he’s done anything wrong, but because he’s toxic to the electability of the GOP. But because the Dems have a majority they don’t need to stick their neck on the line and risk Trumpist ire. So they’ll let Dems do it.

Will be more difficult for the Senate - McConnell may cast his lot with impeachment if there are a dozen or so Senate Republicans willing to flip and go on record about it beforehand.
