Niche consulting focused on the strategic deployment of troops, cavalry, and artillery across a world map, followed by advice on how best to arrange those troops against the enemy given that chance has a major role in controlling the outcome.

Looking at risk associated with everything. Strategy consultants bring in risk consultants to help measure risk. Clients bring in risk consultants to gauge risk. Risk could be regulatory or environmental

A lot of it is helping audits or helping clients pass financial/SOX/IT audits. Some deal with Cyber Risks. Also helping clients meet government regulations (energy, food, health, pharma). Basically helping clients prepare so things do not go wrong and ruin their business/compliance - or helping them fix things that are already wrong.

@Deloitte 2, you're thinking risk assurance. Risk consulting is what Deloitte 1 mentioned

I help people understand the ways their business is vulnerable across the entire spectrum of potential impacts to the specific process I work on. It's mostly figuring out what they should lose sleep about until it's either no longer an exposure or there's a control that compensates for the exposure.

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

If buy the partners you work with regularly a holiday gift, how much do you spend? Usually I get baked goods or food items which you can’t tell the actual amount spent on. This year, though, I’d like to support local restaurants by encouraging people to order takeout—hence, giving gift cards.

How much is appropriate for a restaurant gift card from an associate to a partner?

Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?
