I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Almost everyone walks out of T10 MBAs with 200K+ jobs (consulting, banking, PE), except for maybe brand management type gigs.
I worked in a consulting (non-strategy) role at Deloitte pre-MBA and was also discouraged by my leadership about an MBA. Currently at a T10 MBA and I got offers that will more than double my TC immediately and put me at an accelerated trajectory compared to before
You absolutely have a chance to hit 200+ salary right out of a T10 school.
But you definitely should not expect to. That’s a great way to set yourself up for disappointment especially since some of those roles (eg consulting) have extremely downsized mba hiring targets in last year
I was already at 150K with 3.5 YOE
Short answer is yes, easily possible and in the fields called out already. Seems like some of the responses thus far are from people making assumptions without actual experience to how recruiting works. Yes, we are in a down cycle but it’s not like on campus recruiting has come to a screeching halt. Medians are thrown off by the fact that not everyone that attends a top 10 / M7 wants the WLB that comes with the higher paying industries.
Depends on the role. With consulting, PE, and banking yes.
I went to T25 (PT / EMBA) and joined a firm where the standard MBA offer is well into the $200s. Had several other offers over $200k also. I think most of my classmates had similar results.
Not a guarantee but reasonably good shot at it out of a good school.
