Chasing assets, triple-checking exports, organising notes—none of it’s amazing, but all of it matters. A smooth workflow often depends on the invisible work no one claps for I find. What’s a behind-the-scenes task you think deserves more appreciation?

Since I work in legal for the entertainment industry, I'm going to say that. It's amazing how much work we do to avoid litigation and protect productions. Pretty much every decision has to be run through some sort of legal checks and balances, and it's a lot of work.

Absolutely agree—legal often gets overlooked until there’s a crisis, but the work you do upfront saves so many headaches down the line. It’s like the safety net no one sees, but everyone relies on. Definitely deserves way more appreciation.

Communication is one of the most important behind the scenes things we have to do. Even though emails and going back and forth takes time, it has to be done. I think that deserves more appreciation for sure.

Totally with you—clear, consistent communication keeps everything running. It may not be flashy, but it prevents so many problems down the line. Honestly, half the job is just making sure everyone’s actually on the same page!

For props, we have to create a wrap bible which includes every single props from the film/tv show- this includes taking a photo of each prop and logging it into a system. Very time consuming but it’s vital!

That sounds like such a massive but essential task! It’s the kind of thing no one outside the department ever sees, but the whole production would fall apart without it. Serious respect for the detail and time that goes into making it all trackable.

Working as CAL Manager with Accenture S&C India. Offered ~GBP 76.5K (fixed plus flexi) at Manager Grade by Deloitte London.

Prior to Accenture, I have already served as S&O Manager with Deloitte India for ~1.5 yrs - so this would be my second stint with Deloitte as Manager "again".

2 questions:
1. Should I ask for Senior Mgr (AD) grade - to which they have already said NO
2. Is GBP 76.5K sitting at the lower end of M grade in Deloitte UK? What should be a good expectation for the role

I don’t think my worry is unfounded due to the tremendous amount of tax/IRS scam out there but it would be nice to hear from some of y’all so that I’m not so worried about it…
