I probably spent over $2000 this past year but started my first year as a self-contained SPED teacher in an autism program. Such different supplies needed then the general education classroom.
WFH has made it clear how much more work I do than my partner. He heads off to keep his work-life-balance and leaves me to keep everything together.
For the lawyers in biglaw firms, how do you manage to interview at other firms while balancing the commitments and availability of your current position? Also, how do you make sure your current firm doesn’t find out that you’re interviewing with a competitor?
Trying to buy a 20*15.4*9.6 carry on. Can it fit in the overhead bin on an Embraer 175? Delta website says 22*14*9. Thank you!
Has anyone tried hot yoga? Going to first class today and wondering what to expect - what are benefits etc
Flight delayed, again. I guess instead of making it to the gym tonight I'm having another glass of lounge wine. 😕
Finding it extremely difficult to stay motivated. I feel exhausted from the hours and even less motivated when I find out how much of a variance there is in comp. How did ppl know when to go private?
Has anyone gone freelance as a team / with a partner? How did you structure your business? Did you form an llc together or keep it separate?

@moms Any recommendations for a reliable cheap-but-good-quality maternity clothes retailer (online preferred). Ideally something like Cupshe for swimsuits but for maternity clothes :)? TIA!
I just left BigLaw as a mid-level for a generalist in-house role. It took me over a year of searching because I was a litigator in a niche practice, so most companies didn’t want me. My focus in the new role is developing general skills - contracts, transactions, partnerships, IP, etc. - but I don’t want to stay at this company for long, because the pay is subpar for an in-house role at my seniority. What’s the minimum amount of time I can stay before reasonably applying to other in-house roles?
I know many with families etc are very happy about this long term WFH situation, but I’m a 23 year old who picked this career over other offers because of the travel opportunities and the ability to live in a large city. Is it crazy for me to get into industry earlier because of the pandemic?
If you get laid off as green card holder, do you have to go back to your home country? Can I take contract jobs while searching for full time?
