My wife is from Louisiana and I'm from Texas, so when the weather gets colder the main battle is whether we have seafood gumbo or highly seasoned chili. The next battle is over whether the LSU Tigers or Texas Longhorns will have a better season this year. Yes, gumbo when we watch the Tigers and chili when we watch the 'Horns.

We are congee fanatics at my house! Any leftover meat from the night before means breakfast congee! Add salted egg, scallions, and bulldog sauce (my guilty pleasure) = yum!
Super comfort food - bulldog is a tonkatsu sauce so it is sweet & tangy like a Worcester.
Oh that sounds delicious! I only tried kimchi for the first time a month ago and I was surprised at how much I have been enjoying it. I've just been eating it as a small side with dinner sometimes, but I'd like to try kimchi fried rice soon.

Wow I’m glad you like kimchi too! Definitely try kimchi fried rice! It’s super easy to make! For the soup the more fermented the better in my opinion
OMG I have been looking forward to soup day alllllll year. I am going to make either baked potato soup or a broccoli cheddar soup, I haven't quite decided yet.
