Company Offers up to $12k in tuition reimbursement and I’m interested in using it for Lean Six Sigma certification right now and then MBA in a few years. Any recommendations on where I should get my LSS belt from? And should I get a Green or Black belt? Any feedback/advice is appreciated.

Do you really need a Lean Six Sigma cert AND an MBA to work at McDonald's? (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)

Just curious, what’s the wlb like at BAH? Do you enjoy what you do?

That feeling when McDonalds does more for its employees than big 4

You realize that he doesn’t flip burgers at McDonald’s right? Why do you think it’ll treat its corporate employees worse than Big4 smh

Save the money on BS LSS and put towards other educational endeavors.

like

Hmm, do you have any recommendations on other educational endeavors?

Check out your local community college/public university and see if they have any ‘continuing education’ programs for LSS! For example, STL community college offers it for a flat rate which might be cheaper than other private organizations

Thank you! Will look into it!

Isn't Lean Six Sigma a bit bs? Genuine question, I'm not very informed on it

I’ve heard mixed things about it… but I don’t think it’ll hurt to have it on my resume right?

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

I am currently working in PayPal India, have completed 2 years in my role.
My career goal is to move to US, that's where all my friends are.
how can I make an internal switch to US office ?
Any suggestions are helpful Thanks.

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?

I don't know how some people do things that to me seem so risky. Maybe I'm just way too conservative.

A friend and spouse recently purchased a home twice the price of ours and took additional amount of loan on top "for paying off other debt." They make less than half what we make and owe three times as much in other stuff (car loans, cc, irs, etc). I'd be so stressed and likely wouldn't have taken such a loan (5.8%) for an even smaller home than ours. Just thinking about it stresses me out tbh.
