Posting it here its simpler. Hope it works for reference. Im frugal I think but I go out and enjoy life. Agree with the advice of buying a car cash. I leased bc it was a good deal and I wanted to keep my cash savings for a down payment

Just saw this SA1! Its prolly bc I eat boring as fuck haha. I dont do much on the week to enjoy food, I just eat to have energy etc. On the weekends or when I to out for dinner thats when I actually eat tasty stuff. My meals are just grilled chicken/pork/salmon with some veggies or rice. Boring af but gets the nob done with little effort lol. But also comparing metabolism isnt fair, I have something that keeps me somehow skinny (even when I try to grow muscle)
I live on 100k. 1/1 in Brickell ($2800/month), 2022 SUV, money separated for going out and some shopping, gym membership. Even car wash membership. And I save at least 1k/month (on top of 401k and HSA contributions).
You DEF can! Dm me if you want and I can send you my spreadsheet with expenses if it helps you get an idea. Immigrant here so I struggled figuring out some budgets at first, it can help you understand expenses like registration tag, insurance etc

Cars are expensive nowadays. With car payment/insurance/gas/parking you’ll be right around $1k. I’d buy a used Toyota or Honda cash if possible.
I’d suggest roommates to ease the burden of rent.
2100 might get you a studio in a nice building. Definitely not a one bedroom unless you’re living very far from downtown or not in a nice area. You could probably find a smaller one bedroom on the beach for that price (don’t except washer/dryer/dishwasher though). I think you could swing it depending on how much your car payment is and if you have student loans etc
Idk I still use my car from high school which is completely paid off. The interest rates on cars are really high right now, and we have the highest car insurance premiums in the nation. You could easily be shelling out $800-$1200 in car and insurance payments. I’d personally recommend buying a car you can pay for in full. 10-15% interest is no joke lol
If you live in the gables walking distance from work and Publix you don't need a car, but that can be tough. Walking in Miami also isn't fun in the sweltering heat. 2100 isn't reasonable in coral gables unless you're ok with a very old studio apt with no amenities and likely no laundry or dishwasher.
Thank oh
lol can you send it to me 🤣🤣. I think I struggle with this personally
