Jump for the money - no question

Id grow up and take the offer unless your ego is too fragile to do that work
Lol it’s not just about ego, I’ve worked hard for the independence I’ve earned

Sounds like you are moving up to a more prestigious company though. So it may still open doors and be a good move. And 60% is significant for less responsibility. Those kind of jumps are hard to come by.
No worries! But yeah some of the high finance jobs don’t actually have broad exit ops, even if they pay well.
I interviewed once for Goldman Sachs fund-of-fund manager search (evaluating PMs for funds that invest in other funds). As you can imagine it’s a very niche skill set.
Simple solution look for 2 things one is money another one is are you really getting to do the work you are expert into. If any company is providing any one out of these you can take a decision based on your priority but if you get both you are lucky and go for it. And don't over think . If the next company is giving you good hike and it's a bigger brand you can go for it. And always remember you are not part of a govt organization where you can't switch. You can work for new company and if you feel you really can't take it up you can again try to switch(only in worst case)
