Susman is a boutique, but it’s Vault ranked and competing for talent with the V10. I think there is a 80% chance Cravath matches.
Competing sure. But also culturally a very different place than v10

Firms likely won’t. Susman is a boutique—I wish someone else (a v5-v10) would through!
Let’s see. Just trying to send a message across on what the associates want. And I agree with A2.
From a firm's perspective, what are the odds of you landing at Susman?
Near zero, if you're talking Generic Biglaw Firm. But much higher if we're discussing Susman's competitors, which include a couple of the V5.
Susman has consistently paid above market bonuses (by a wide margin) every year. Their slight bump above market on their base salaries is more a symbolic nudge to say "we will always beat the market". Cravath realizes they will never match Susman on total comp and is not trying to start a comp war with them. Same thing goes for Watchell. Cravath real competitors are comp are the DPW, STB, S&C, PW, and Milbanks of the world
and now another *boutique* has matches Susman...new scale has emerged. Cravath will match....for sure.....
