I should mention that I’m a planner not a creative and I was curious because as an outside it’s always pretty clear which of the two does the heavy lifting.

I've shared that only when I knew that the knowledge would help him negotiate. Generally it's a bad idea that's going to leave one of you feeling bad.
Yeah, helps us negotiate better. Sometimes they try to lowball one partner to save $$$
Generally no, not unless we're looking for a new gig together.
Started 2 years later at the company, so no idea what he’s on - feels like a potential can of worms. Better to leave it I think. I’m happy, he’s happy.
@ac2 depends a bit on the team and the project but usually the writer. A couple teams that I work with now where the AD is stronger.
