If you don’t foresee yourself doing much traveling, then don’t get the Amex gold, get the CSP.
Yes, the Amex Gold earns 4X, but what are you going to use those points on if you don’t travel? They’ll be worth less than 1X per point if you opt to redeem via cashback.
The CSP is more flexible and can be redeemed via points AND cashback for at least 1X.
Opposite of what you should do. You earn more with AmEx Gold, so unless you absolutely won't do any travel for the foreseeable future, then it's better. If you're spending money on travel, go with Chase.
Get the gold! Dm for a referral, been one of my favorite cards for dining and grocery stores. I’ve realized I spend all my money on or for food haha
Get the Capital One Venture X. DM for referral if interested.
Great sign on referral promo right now, also get back $300 in statement credits for flights per year + $100 in points each year along with travel benefits like trip delay or cancellation protection, cell phone protection, price drop protection, luggage reimbursement, free lounge access, Hertz status, etc.
10x on hotels, 5x on flights, 2x on everything else $395 annual fee - get back $400 in statement credits plus additional benefits each year
You only need to travel once a year to use the $300 annual statement credits they give you to take advantage of the card. I got it for that purpose and I don’t travel often either.
Oh got it, then no need! Maybe look into getting Savor One for unlimited 3% back on food instead of paying the Amex gold annual fee. But that’s a personal decision. I have Amex gold and may downgrade next year.
I would recommend AMEX gold which earns more points than the CSP and essentially pays for itself with the monthly $10 Uber + $10 dining credits (I hold both). If you wind up going for either - let me know, can refer you for either! The CSP does have a larger sign up bonus right now, and if you’re plugged into the Chase ecosystem, can definitely be worth it with the earning bonus on travel!
Some are getting CSP 80k and with 1.25% back on chase travel portal that’s worth $1K though both are great options and 90k for Gold is a fantastic offer
