I’m not in our restructuring group, so I’m just going off what my friend in that group said. Base salaries at A&M are standard within each service line, with Restructuring paying the most.
For Restructuring, Associate base salaries should be ~140k and Senior Associates ~$180k. With bonus, you should expect to be somewhere in the mid-high $200k range for total compensation as an Associate. I know there have been some Restructuring Senior Associates who have pulled in $350k total compensation before. You probably already know this, but our bonus is based on collections of billed hours, so it varies from person to person.
Hope this helps.
This is only for restructuring (not FDD): Analysts are entry-level from undergrad but can also be experienced hires from investment banking or consulting. I’d say 0-3 years of experience.
Associates would have anywhere from 3-6 years, and Senior Associates 6+ years. Directors I would expect 10+ years.
Unfortunately I don’t have a good comp estimate for those levels. Keep in mind the total comp can vary dramatically even in the same level due to the nature of our comp structure.
What’s the Norma pipeline for restructuring? Like is it common to come over from diligence to restructuring?

Very interested as well
Is it common to switch to restructuring from FDD?
Analysts are typically recruited from undergrad. After that, experienced hires come in post-MBA or from other firms.
