Tech Trans exit opps?
I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

Absolutely
Currently trying to leave. Graduated 2018 and even did masters for 2019.
Overworked and underpaid way more than any of my friends in several different fields. It’s illogical to me why I work way more yet get paid so much less (3wks unpaid OT one of these years yet 20k less than any of my friends in different fields) It affects my personal life, vacation opportunities, and now has tried to impact my relationship with the woman I fell in love with. I won’t let that happen, and now that decision seems to be affecting my career growth. Bullshit to say the least. I’m leaving for construction sector, and putting an emphasis on work life balance. We are slaves as architects.
I thought I liked buildings. I wanted to be part of their development. I found later though out I could care less for “how it looks”, that’s irrelevant and to me, 99.9% of things look fine. But can it be built? I want to see the real thing, not just some stupid idea. I want the real thing, construction. I made a horrible misjudgment thinking wanting buildings meant architecture. Now I’m trying to fix that.
lol I chose it and stuck with it for too long. Am now moving on..overdue. Tired of being over worked, under paid and under appreciated!
May I ask what alternative you've chosen
It allows you to create something
In this world many lives to destroy
So we the architects who creates something with creativity…
For most of us, it’s a compulsion born early in life.
I chose architecture because it combines creativity and problem-solving in a way that leaves a lasting impact. Designing spaces that shape how people live and work felt like the perfect balance of art and functionality. Over time, I’ve also realized the importance of working with experts in structural engineering to bring ideas to life. Platforms like ParamountBuilt ( https://paramountbuilt.co.uk/ ) have been invaluable for exploring innovative solutions and ensuring designs are both practical and inspiring.
