Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

There's a broad mix of consulting groups here, most of which are generally in higher salary brackets compared to IT Risk. Many in this bowl also have the 'MBA premium', which pushes them further up.
You're not doing much wrong - as a former auditor, I can tell you that you're in the right range. If your focus is more money, you should be focusing on either MBA applications or figuring out a move to the relevant practices.
If you don’t mind me asking, what discipline did you switch to after leaving audit? Was it difficult to find an exit opportunity?
95 as a it risk senior is pretty good. I know plenty making under 90

GPS pays less. IT Risk pays less.

In my experience IT risk pays less as does government work vs commercial.
Wait what...seniors making 120k-150k? That sounds way too high. That’s what a manager would make

Not audit sorry
Yes and yes .. get out of IT risk and government work..
Any suggestions on alternative disciplines to pursue?
Do you have a clearance? If so, you can leverage it for more money at another firm. I have a TS clearance and I'm interviewing for EY's technology risk and recruiter has agreed on 140k to 150k base range for the offer.
Nice!!
IT M&A .. network in EY-Parthenon .. seems like your immediate options
