Are you looking to use as many acronyms as possible or giving up on words altogether?
Was just kidding :)
Are you looking for an analytics role or generalist consulting? If generalist was the goal why a M. statistics over planning to get an MBA?
I felt I was too young to go into an MBA, the aim was to do my MStats by 25, then MBA by 28-29 and try get into MBB that way
I’m interested in stats (I had a BFinance) but don’t want to be a number cruncher for life, figured it’ll be more relevant as we move into more data driven environment?
If the goal is MBB and you’re looking to get an MBA the path is there. Not sure what your role is in industry but try an take on as much responsibility as you can, work on high impact projects and kill your GMAT. Once I B school, I see no reason as to why you won’t get a shot.
I’m not based in NA, and I do a lot of Internal performance improvement and regulator/board submissions. I was speaking to a Big 4 Financial Services Tech consultant hiring manager, but they wanted me to go into their grad program (effectively a 40% pay cut), which got me thinking about what work MBB would favor as a generalist (other than a S&, Monitor etc)
Get LSA2 before going for SYT!!
I’m not sure I want to go into something heavily Systems focused, and I’m worried LSA2 would lock me into that
