Can anyone provide a referral to Accenture?
I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?
Hi All, I have received ctc details from Tata Consultancy about 4 weeks back for SAP IBP position at C3B level, however still waiting for offer letter. Any idea how long it could take ? Also, what are the chances tbat i will get an offer letter although delayed, are there cases where offer letter is not issued for internal reasons?

If you're in IT audit and worried about getting pigeonholed in audit, it looks like you might be in the wrong place. I would pivot while you can, because it will only get harder later on. Recognizing that you are in the wrong service line is so much better now than years down the road, despite how uncomfortable that realization may be.
Your exit opportunities out of IT audit/assurance work is going to be an internal audit/ IT compliance job in industry. My suggestion is to not worry about promotion and pivot to what you want to do. Cyber is a common transition right now for many leaving the IT audit world. Stick it out to senior to build a solid foundation and then transition to cyber by continuing to build your knowledge and get additional certs like the CISSP.

I'm in a similar position, firm claimed they had more SOC/Security work than they actually do. Luckily I came over from industry (2 yrs in Cyber). You bet your ass I'll be out and back in Cyber by December.
Other things to keep in mind: IT Audit is an amazing fall back plan, in fact probably the best fall back you can have. The work is always going to be there, and it rarely changes. Once you make manager you're pulling in awesome money and all you're doing is reviewing w/p's. The work sells itself so there's much less of a sales aspect at the higher levels. In the event that you shift over to cyber and you hit a slow time, you can always reach out to your IT Audit network to help keep your utilization up and avoid the chopping block.
Not debating you cannot command a high salary. Seniors can prob leave for 75-90k jobs. But you will learn that salary isn't everything. If you aren't happy doing it now the money won't make you happy.
Yeah I want out too, just not sure where to pivot to. Interested in cyber, but not sure how to break into it. Any thoughts?
I have CISA and am actively pursuing CISSP. From what I've gathered, we've got name recognition within the industry so try to leverage that before you've been formally 'branded.'
PwC1, are you trying to stay in consulting or go into industry? I always figured it was worth staying in consulting til manager (currently A3) but not sure if that was just the kool aid
I'm a S2 (came in at S1) and am ready for going back to industry. Don't get me wrong, you might be having a better experience than I've had, but unfortunately I haven't.
I'm not happy with it either, but value the experience you get from consulting. Also have my CISA, how hard is it to prepare for the CISSP for someone with our background?
I feel the same way - I'm just at the one year mark so I'm ready to make moves. I've just recently started studying, and the really technical aspects are difficult; however, a few are common sense
Side note: anybody that tells you exit OP's aren't any good in IT audit doesn't know shit. I personally watched one of our clients poach a senior and he doubled his salary.
