Currently interviewing for a designer role at Tesla - wanted some advice. The hiring manager has seemed uninterested and always dropped off interviews early and without answering any of my questions. He also mentioned that he's lost 4 designers from the team recently (red flag!). I think it'd be a cool role, but it sounds like I'd be the only designer and there's not a ton of support, BUT if I do well - lots of room for growth and promotion. Plus internal transfers after a year also an option?

I went through six rounds of interviews including putting together a 30 minute presentation which I presented to the whole team. The whole process took about six weeks. I turned down another lead position at a different company waiting. After all that they told me that hiring for this role was on hold until further notice.
