Currently just started on an engagement (Day 2) and I immediately feel unaligned to the work and do not feel driven or the passion as it does not align with my aspirations and growth expectations as a consultant. I have been on multiple projects prior to this one and this is the first time I've felt this way. Is it alright to ask for a switch to another project or is it too late since I have already accepted it. Still have at least 2 months to go.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Is it just me or are there entirely too many people in Business Services, specifically TC’s, who are just folks from client service that don’t want to deal with hours and travel anymore but have no formal training in the Business Services function they transition to? It seems to me very few TC’s are professionals in HR with any background, training or certifications in HR.

I joined KPMG a while ago from federal consulting. Federal consulting had super good work life balance but I’ve been working at KPMG strategy for a while now.
