Dear employers,
If you post a job saying it is remote throughout the post and then change your mind two weeks later after multiple people apply, you need to update your listing or remove the job posting!

It's a sad state of affairs that this needs to be said. I've noticed so many companies posting "remote" jobs that have hybrid/on site requirements listed in the description. It's a bait and switch and a complete waste of everyone's time.

Remote, except for you need to be onsite for something. Remote, but only a couple days a week, maybe. It is misleading job posts, and I understand circumstances may have changed, but there are too many of them that are listed as such and turn out not to be.

I couldn't agree with you more. I wish that places woud be more transparent about these types of things because it comes off as dishonest when that really may not be the case.

Hahah seriously! That’s ridiculous

SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.
