I am looking to save 10 lacks from May 2024 to March 2025(planning to book one home).

Either I can go with FD per month since I require sure shot money at end of april.
I am already investing in SIP MF for long term.

Is it good plan to invest in FD or should I go in with some amount in FD and some amount in lumpsum?
If 2nd then what should be proportion for optimal return and safe.

Living in NJ and may be able to choose NYC as my home office. People who live in NJ can choose NJ / NYC office, which one did you choose?

NJ office: no NYC tax, don't have to file 2 state return. Live in NJ so auto assigned to NJ office currently.

NYC office: NYC tax on paycheck, easier commute, possibly higher pay?
