@Deloitte Managers - have been reached out to interview for a Tech Advisory Manager role. My current salary at EY is 180k + 7-12% bonus. What’s the typical band for Manager so I can gauge what base salary I should shoot for?

I just came in as Manager at 198k base, 30k signing bonus and upto 31% (target is probably much less) bonus in Strategy and Analytics.
I think the M band likely maxes out around 210-220k base but D gives quite a lot in bonus. I know peers who got 40-50k in bonus this year on top of fat retention bonuses.

Also is the role in Consulting or Advisory? Advisory pays much less than Consulting.

like

Also, consulting SC's do not make more than advisory SMs at D, where did you get that from?

That’s at the top of the pay band based on reported numbers. You’ll be in SM/D starting range which is not bad coming in as M. My goal is most amount of money for least amount of work.

smart

It lead - no jumped 2 times. Homegrown will be less obviously.

I’d be surprised if Deloitte gave you much more than that. As MA1 said, that’s already the top of the band

If the role is Consulting, there is more space in the band. I thought it was an Advisory role

Don’t be fooled, 180k is decent enough unless you are in California or New York. People that claim higher bands(200k) are in tier 1 city in most cases.
