OP - I’ve worked at both and have friends at both. When people ask me, I tell them that Accenture is like Walmart and Deloitte is like Macy’s. Infer what you may from that. Plus my experience at Accenture was horrible (truly horrible leadership whom I have no love lost for), whereas Deloitte had its fair set of issues but was better in my experience. I rarely if ever recommend anyone to A, but do so with some caveats to D. Good luck!
Peoples’ outlook on their company’s culture is highly correlated with their compensation.
I think compensation at the two firms will be fairly similar for me. I’m thinking more people when I think of culture
MD1 - look up Andersen Consulting vs Arthur Andersen.
Andersen Consulting (which became Accenture) never engaged in public accounting.
Highly dependent on the office. They all’s at they excel in this area but that’s not true for each office
Accenture T&O has great people. I’ve pretty much liked everyone I’ve worked with and networked with so far.
All things equal, Accenture has a better rep than Deloitte
