Desperately trying to leave UHG but cannot land an interview anywhere. I’ve been applying for 5 months and ready to pull my hair out. I know it’s a bad job market. Just needed to vent. I just want some fraction of job stability and my current role layoffs or offshoring is being tangled over our heads

Hang in there...it takes time to get the right job search strategy down .get a Plan B down..hard to land a new job if you feel you are in desperation mode...look for other style jobs or rework your resume..in time you will build confidence that you will land another job then you will switch ho determination mode..no problem is too hard to solve when you are ready..be good to yourself in your time out of work and do things you enjoy eat right sleep right and get a plan that is doable...job you get may not be the panacea you seek..reexamine your longterm goals and backtrack from there with short term goals to get you where you want to be

I'm sorry it's been rough for you. Have you thought about transferring postions within UHG?
I was a hybrid CFR for 1.5 years. So I did phone and processed claims. I was able to to get a job with SIU payment integrity as an investigator and I LOVE it.
And our dept is growing. Are u with UHC? I know they have had alot depts close over there. I'm with UMR and we haven't had that issue.
Good luck. I hope u find something!

I took that layoff, I swear I had the worst possible team and worst mgr ever. I never want insurance or call center job ever again. So apparently being a slacker and favored with daily errors gets you to never have to work and can refuse work 🤔. These ppl should have been fired, in the real world other places would fire you for that many errors and lack of working, they literally complained to mgr oh my hands hurt so no work for them, but yep I do everything, I guarantee once she retires they prob will get fired with next mgr 😂. I tried to refuse work and got in trouble yet they can say no, I was never appreciated until the last day, no wonder she knows I don't get errors. So me 1 person out of 30 kept the teams errors lower by fixing theirs and I kept metrics high. When I found out just a wk after I left that their metrics tumbled drastically and more errors since I wasn't there I laughed so hard. She made me do more work than anyone and barely a raise other than few cents. Now realizing uhg pays the worst after seeing how much office jobs start at.

Or is it more engineering?

So I've been at my job for 5+ years as a data analyst/back office support team. I made my way up into making a little over $40k. I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.
