Did any of the Big4 start furloughs or layoffs in US?

There is no judgement in this post, just curiousity. I've seen a lot of my republican HS classmates and folks from my hometown really lean into the Lab Leak theory for Covid origin. I'm not invested in any of the theories, just open to seeing what comes out of the research and investigations.

That said, why are Republicans so tied to the Lab Leak theory? Of course the WSJ article today was an interesting development, but even before that there was a lot of buy in from the right.

Management Consultant or Strategy Consultant title better on LinkedIn for exit opps? Can use either based on my current title

I’m planning to buy a new TV and earlier the better. However I do know that Prime Day is coming up mid-October and then there’s Thanksgiving in November. Do you think it might be worth waiting for one of these to score a good deal? Are there are deals out there already? The problem is I don’t have a TV at the moment and would like one soon.

So I’ve found a startup I want to work for. They hired a CLO earlier this year. Is it crazy to try to reach out to him and express interest if they have no legal job postings? FWIW I have good experience and am at a well regarded firm.
