What is project specific BGC in TCS?
Thank you all for your patience. I do appreciate it. It turns out having a side project while running multiple proposals is a trifle challenging. That said. I’m posting a first subset of the rawish data. In all close to 500 people took the survey, but a majority were from the Big Four. Here is the data from Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PWC. Insights to come! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1lN6JrxQfvA_MC4XFZ38G0ppQkBuxRv9mf88Y8NE2X2U/htmlview
Hi folks, I have 6.5yrs of experience in Java, Springboot, Microservices. Does anyone have any idea about Optum Global Solutions, Hyderabad. I was told that the Project which I will be assigned to is an IVR application responsible for middleware services and the shift will be from 2 pm-12 am. Any idea which project is it going to be and how is the work going to be? Do they expect us to extend beyond 12 am on a regular basis?

R u joking. Tech consulting or horse carriage driving, if you can afford to - take the well earned month break! Spend time with fam and travel!
Yes! Rest and relax :) have fun OP
Work your butt off for a job you are quitting soon
Vs.
Spend a solid month on the bench doing nothing while getting paid
I don’t see how this is a dilemma...
That sort of notice isn’t always possible. They could be let go on the spot (especially when it’s a competitor). If they start in February I am sure they would want to be paid until then so they can keep their insurance
“Real dilemma” eh? Buoy if you don’t
Sorry I don’t understand the reference
Taking a new project will make you look like a jerk when you leave 1 month in... enjoy being funemployed
How do you cruise though... kinda awkward to go like “yeah I’m leaving in 1 month pls don’t let me do anything”
Same situation. How do you pretend you’re actively looking for a project so you can successfully cruise
I would interview for a coupe projects and just say ‘No, I don’t think project x is a good fit for me and my goals’. By the time leadership starts asking what is going on...you’re gone.
It could. But I would ask how well you know your manager and leadership. If they are hardasses about everything then I would do the above and not give a shit. But if they have always been cool and I enjoyed working for them I would just tell them I would work on team/ group BD or some other function that didn’t require me to become deeply involved
What if you coast for two weeks, then give a two week notice (getting you to Feb). Maybe they’ll walk you out immediately, but then don’t they pay you for the two week notice to leave “quietly” and keep a good relationship with you as an alumni?
They don’t always pay you the 2 weeks. I wouldn’t bank on it. I have known people in both situations
Exactly what I’m doing - month of RnR
