I’d get the hell out of there!
Sounds like they’re looking to lay off without calling it a work force reduction - kind of like these lame RTO mandates….
Outside of few examples, black and white anything is bad for an organization. This is doubly true in sales, where we work under the auspices of an organization, but our livelihood is tied to our performance.
The benefit of being at risk in the comp side is the ability to make more money, but also work for yourself and self regulate your hours, effort etc. If you aren’t treated like that, is it truly a sales role?
Being on time even 20 mins early everyday, pays off well when reviewing your work habits. On time to me is 15 mins before you start your shift. It will reflect in your good work habits and your next opportunity when they ask your previous employer about being on time to work.
Tell me you make no money without telling me you make no money.
They probably want to do lay offs with out actually laying people off. I don’t think a strict policy works for most things
Yes. Many of us can tell you we would refuse to interview for or accept an offer if it required us to go into the office. Now mind you, this is after about 15-20 years of experience, I couldn’t say this 10 years ago. And yes, I know many in my profession who quit jobs when their companies tried to force them to come into the office for mandatory days.
That said, for the right company, I know others who have adapted- it’s very long days but they make it work. Reality check tho, they admit they are far more productive when they are wfh so that’s 3 days the company is requiring you to be less productive I guess…
